FLYING STYRO KIT is a company with a long history. It was founded in 1991 and it belonged among the first modelers firms established in the Czech Republic after the Velvet Revolution in 1989.
The company concentrated on the production of free- flying plane models made from foamed styropor and designed mainly for children.

The first plane models made from extruded styropor were produced in 1994. Flying Styro Kit was the first firm on the Czech market and it belonged among the first ones abroad in the used material and pure styropor kit construction. The models propelled by rubber power or by CO2 engines have been produced until now.

The accessibility of microelectronics on the market triggered off the development and production of styropor models controlled by radio and driven by electromotors. The legendary "Chubby Lady" was introduced to the market in 1999 by FSK. It was the first Slow-Flyer, model, which gained a lot of popularity all over the world very quickly as well as other series of models produced in this category.

Aerobatic RC models and famous plane kits from the World War II also belong to Flying Styro Kit range of goods and these models are the main manufacturing program nowadays. The main stresss is put on precise processing and detailed, comfortable kit equipment when these kits are produced. Therefore the kits gained a great popularity among modellers from all countries in all continents.

Flying Styro Kit had moved to its own building site in 2001, which the firm reconstucted for its own needs and as a result the firm increased and multiplied its production capacity.

Flying Styro Kit company has produced more than 100,000 models made from foamed and extruded styropor since its foundation in 1991.The firm has also been awarded the "Model roku" prize seven times on the International exhibition Modelhobby in Prague, the Czech Republic.

In May 2010 the company change owners in order to provide better products and support.
